Judith A. Singleton      June 27, 2007

WARSAW - Judith, A. Singleton, 68, Warsaw, was surrounded by family as she passed away June 27, 2007.
She was born June 20, 1939, in Indianapolis, to Richard and Mary Stevens. On Aug. 27, 1966, in Indianapolis, she married Dave Singleton, who survives.
She graduated from Marian College and went on to a fulfilling career in teaching. She chose to spend a number of years as a full-time homemaker, raising her children and later caring for her mother and husband. She also enjoyed a number of retail positions, most recently at Bower's Jewelry, Warsaw. She gave a great deal of herself to the community in a number of volunteer positions. Especially dear to her was the ministry of Our Father's House, affiliated with Sacred Heart Catholic Church. As a 30-year parishioner of Sacred Heart, she kept her faith as the cornerstone of her life. Her favorite role seemed to be that of the doting grandmother, both giving and receiving tremendous joy and love. Her quiet intelligence, generosity of spirit, Irish wit, and amazing strength were quickly apparent to anyone blessed to know her. Judy and her husband lived in Indianapolis and Mishawaka before moving to Warsaw in 1977.
Also surviving are a brother, Michael Stevens; three daughters, Mrs. Sergio (Anne) Varela, Stephanie Singleton and Kathy Singleton; a son, Michael Singleton; and five grandchildren, Jason Singleton, Joel Singleton, Katie Singleton, Francie Varela and Allie Varela. She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Mary Stevens.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Warsaw.
Calling is from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. today, with a Rosary at 7 p.m. today at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Home, Warsaw.
