Logansport man dies in ATV crash
Monday, June 4, 2001
BURNETTSVILLE -- A Logansport man died Sunday
from injuries sustained in an ATV accident on Carroll County Road
1200N.
Troy Parkevich, 26, 1721 George
St., suffered blunt force trauma to his left side in the 5:30
p.m. accident, according to the Indiana Conservation Officers
Department, Lafayette. He died at 7:13 p.m. in Logansport Memorial
Hospital.
Parkevich was driving an ATV north
on a trail when he failed to negotiate a small jog, officers reported.
He continued north off the trail and struck a tree with the right
front side of the ATV. He then continued to slide and struck another
tree with the left rear of the ATV. The impact threw him from
the vehicle and into a tree, officers said.
Officer Ryan Blackman investigated.
