Gilbert L. “Gil” Kotas             December 15, 2020

Kotas-Gilbert-L.jpg     Gilbert “Gil” L. Kotas, 83, of Warsaw, Indiana, passed away at 5:01 p.m. on Tuesday, December 15, 2020, at his residence.  He was born on October 13, 1937, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, to Norbert & Margaret (Baumgartner) Kotas.

He graduated from East Side High School in Milwaukee and he was married on February 1, 1969, to be Barbara Podsiadly who survives.  He was formerly employed as an electrical salesman at Helsel-Jepperson Electrical in Chicago Heights, IL for 30+ years.  He grew up in Milwaukee, formerly lived in Calumet City, Illinois, and Highland, Indiana, & moved to the Warsaw area in 2015. 

He was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Warsaw and the Knights of Columbus in Griffith, Indiana.

He is survived by:

Wife – Barbara Kotas of Warsaw

Daughter – Lisa (James) Poblete of Warsaw

Canine Companion - Toby

Brother-in-law & Sister-in-law – Charles & Mary Podsiadly of Milwaukee

Brother–in-law – Bruce

Football Friend – Vince

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother – Wencil Kotas.

Burial will take place in the Oakwood Cemetery at a later date.  Cremation Services of Kosciusko County, 4356 N. St. Rd. 15, Warsaw, IN 46582 is in charge of arrangements.

Preferred memorials may be given to the Animal Welfare League of Kosciusko County, 1048 S. 325E, Pierceton, IN 46562
