Born June 23, 1940 in Logansport, Indiana, she lived in Elk Grove Village, Illinois, Logansport, Indiana. and Dallas, Texas.  Susan worked as a teacher in Grades 1-5 for 30 years.  She was exceptionally motivated to work with problem and at risk youngsters.  The politics of education convinced her to seek early retirement from teaching.  She shifted her energy to Court Appointed Child Advocacy work which she found very rewarding.  Susan was a member of Calvary Presbyterian Church while in Logansport serving as an Elder and Deacon.  She was involved in the foodbank outreach programs until moving to Dallas.  She served on several local boards and was particularly fond of the Cass County Historical Society.  She joined the congregation of Preston Hollow Presbyterian Church late last year.  [She was a graduate of the Class of 1958, Logansport High School, in Indiana.]

August 10, 1963, Susan married Michael K. Jordan who survives.  Also surviving are Daughter Dr. Jennifer Ann Jordan and spouse Dr. William P. Adams of Dallas; Sons Eric Michael Jordan and spouse April of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and Jeffrey Blaine Jordan and spouse Lesley of Dallas.  Grand children include Jack Jordan, Emma Jordan, Luke Adams, Brooke Adams, Clint Jordan, and Clay Jordan.  She is also survived by a brother Richard A. Brown of Argyle, Wisconsin.  Susan was preceded in death by her mother Mary K. Brown and father George A. Brown.

Services will be held at a future time and date.  Interment will be at Preston Hollow Presbyterian Church Columbarium.  Relatives and friends are welcome to access www.northdallasfuneralhome.com for more information.
